hosting nems

I can name a few for you:
Haddoni Carpet
Magnificent
Ritteri
Bubble tip anemone
Long tentacle
These are some of the most popular.

After my success with my first one i figured what better then to add another ?? Carpets are just so exspensive :(

I want a carpet or a magnificent so bad lol they will fit in a 14 gallon biocube right ?!? [emoji108]

They can be expensive but mainly it issometimes difficult to get a healthy one.
Some anemones will only host with certain clowns. I have a book but its in a box because I am painting this room. But you should be able to find on here or google.

I rather ask here. Google doesnt have people who have first hand experience so ill stick with reef2reef lots to.learn here

Curious who stated that "sebae" isn't a hosting anemone? (( Either H. crispa or H. malu, which both go by that common name ))

Off the top of my head,

S. haddoni *
S. gigantea
S. mertensii
E. quadricolor *
H. aurora
H. crispa *
H. malu *
H. magnifica
M. doreensis *

Lastly, Cryptodendrum adhaesivum for A. clarkii only -- pretty sure '

* = anemones that I have kept.

I have a pair of Clarkii Clowns that have been hosted by my Sebae for nearly a year. They are happy and the Sebae couldn't be doing any better.

He said the odds of them hosting were slim to none. But it hosted durring.the first feed.

What species of clowns? (( just hoping that he was sort of on the right track ))

Problem with that list, is that it isn't showing natural combinations -- neither A. percula or A. ocellaris are hosted by E. quadricolor in the wild. Not saying won't happen in our tanks, but the odds are always better with a natural combo.
Plus, they left off A. polymnus for S. haddoni -- there is a reason they both have the common name of saddleback.

I have reg osce

In theory he was correct, since neither H. crispa nor H. malu are not natural hosts for A. ocellaris.

However, he should have stated that, and that the clown may not be hosted by it right away, instead of saying "slim to none"
