This one doesn't look like much now, but its got the tell-tale signs of a watermelon -- green rim developing in lower left, green mouths, maroon and bluish hues on the body. It could turn into the next hot piece, and you could have an $800 colony for $130. Figured I'd pass it on, all I ask is for a frag when it colors up :)

For reference, it has similar traits to my $30 watermelon:

Which looked like this when I found it:

Just to clear it up cause I've got a number of PMs. You have to click the link to see the one I'm talking about. I'm not selling, just saw it for sale at Reef hotspot and figured I'd pass it along. I just posted pics of mine (not for sale :) ) for reference of what a browned out watermelon looks like and what it can become. (I call it the $30 watermelon, cause thats what I bought it for when it looked like the bottom pic.)

I doubt the reefhotspot one will change into anything close to yours. The big difference is that your chalice was severely stressed. The RHS one does not look stressed, so I am possitive it won't color up like yours.

I'm not so sure - mine took almost a year to fully color up, and looked very similar to that one at points. Of course I'm not sure it will, but thats the fun of rolling the dice :)

Gonna have to agree with Lam on this one. I don't think it gonna look anything like yours. If u ever decide to frag yours let me know.

The reefhotspot is a mycedium anyways

you are right, I think it is mislabeled now that I look - still has some potential. I might have to suck it up and order now just so we can see what happens :)

"somebody's trash is somebody else's treasure".......with that said, WOW mcliffy what a turn-around on your $30 chalice!!!! Talk about a bargain!!

rather go for your $30 wm kind, atleast you know its water melon type even though it has not color up and stressed out big time like the bottom pix.
