Lost power last week. When it came back on my ac motor blew. Been waiting since Tuesday to get part hopefully tomorrow. Tank was as high as 85 been running over 80 for last 8 days.

so far so go but starting to worry

what’s the longest anyone has kept there tank over 80

you coulda run a reverse light cycle temporarily to help with temps. (aka lights off during day, on at night). alot of us in socal are never below 80 tank temps. if worried you can also float frozen water bottles in sump, and refreeze when thawed (I have about 6 for this).. consistent temp more important than what temp unless extreme.

I run my tank at 81. At 83 or so I start to worry. I have about 6 5 pound yetty cooler ice blocks. I put 2 in the sump at a time if it gets to warm. Apex turns off my t5s if it gets to 83.5

agree ,rotate ice bottles/packs,best wishes

Fans. I'd try fans blowing across the water, and also across the sump.
And if you use evaporative cooling like this, it's best to also have an ATO.

If you have any way to raise the height of your return you could bump it up to above water level to increase surface agitation for a bit more evaporative cooling.

Run fan at tank in the mean time and assemble 2-3 bags with water into icepacks for future needs/use.
