Hot Water vs tanks

I was planning to put bleach after it cools down. The hot water should kill some bacteria and parasites.

I wouldn't use HOT water, there's a chance too much for too long will cause some expansion of the silicone and break the seam.

As @SDK said above though, it's not going to accomplish what you want to do. I did my 10gal quarantine tank about a month ago and I wiped it down, rinsed it out with tap water and filled it up again with tap water. Then I put in the filter (no media, foam or anything), heater and everything else I wanted to disinfect, a cup of bleach and just let it run for 24 hours.

Use some dechlorinator when you refill it with saltwater before using any bacterial additives or live rock to get the cycle started.

i would rinse it out acouple times BEFORE the bleach, amonia and bleach are not a good combo (900% sure that wouldnt be an issue but ...its still a thing esp. around kids) ive never cleaned a tank before but cleaned pumps with vinegar

If it comes out of your hot water tank it won't kill anything except your skin. You need boiling water to kill anything `and your hot water heater won't make boiling water unless the thermostat is broken.

The bacteria will just feel like they are in a Jacuzzi :p

bassically i wouldnt use hot water not worth the hassle or the risk or the potential benefits ...id look into vinegar if you dont like vinegar use bleach

even with boiling water bacteria need to be "boiled" for a certain amount of time to die

If your water heater is set to code then about the only thing it will kill is your yeast when you're trying to bake bread. There's zero advantage to using hot. Bleach is cheap, simple, and safe it used wisely.
