Does anyone else have neighbors that ask why your house is always glowing blue at night?

Lol we live pretty much in a shotgun house. So the dining room is situated in the middle of the house, preventing it from being seen from the outside mostly. So I don’t pique too much curiosity from the neighbors lol
Funny story tho, and I know (hope) I’m not the only one. But I will be driving through town, neighborhoods etc... and see that unmistakable blue glow coming from a house and think, man, I’d really like to talk to the people who live there. Check out there tank/coral/fish. Pick there brain. Share stories. Coral even.
I’ve yet to just walk up and knock on anyone’s door tho lol. “Hey! I noticed your actinics from the road! Mind if I come in and have a look!?”
Yea, no. I just don’t see that going over too well [emoji23]
Great thread!
I actually had someone call the cops on me. The way my house is situated when walking on the sidewalk you can see into my living room, and obviously the lights prompted someone to call the cops as they thought I was growing weed.
Cops showed up, I let them in to see my tank. Funny part is I live in a very small town and I personally know 90% of our local police. They tell me all the time they get calls for someone growing weed on main street. They know better now.

Time to start growing weed![]()
That's actually how me and my buisness partner met for the first time. Never be afraid to ask if they have a reef that' how you make new friends.Lol we live pretty much in a shotgun house. Yah, and my neighbor is a cop. Very nice guy, but every time I try to explain the lights are for the fish tanks he just mutters something about none of his business and waves it off!
The DEA is so showing up at my door some day.
Drones are being used in this manner? That's disgusting.I use to live in Denver CO the land of funny lights. But recently moved to a small town out on the plains. When we first move in we had drones visit our house a couple of times, once I found one parked at the basement window trying to peer in. Guess they couldn't get a clear view because shortly afterward we got a call front the county assessor that they need access to our home for the county auditor. We knew the house had just been assessed so it seemed strange. She show up, didn't do any measurements, proceed to the basement, looked around mentioned the nice tank and left.
Whoever associates blue light with growing weed really needs to educate themselves before mindlessly calling the authorities. Waste of resources (and tax money).
