Hey, fellow reefers last night my mom moved a house plant next to my fish tank and last night I noticed my ph went lower than normal. Usually, it drops 7.8 but, last night it dropped to 7.7. I do know that plans do release some co2 at night but... I am probably overthinking this... Do you guys have any opinions on this topic?

Plants actually release CO2 all the time … not just at night. It's just that they don't also consume CO2/release any O2 at night. Hard to see how a potted plant would have a material affect.

I thought they consume co2 during the day and they turn it into oxygen, photosynthesis, and at night they release some co2.
