That's alot of asterina! I used to pick them out by hand in the morning before they would crawl back into the rockwork.
A harlequin shrimp would make quick work of them. See if anyone in your local reefing club has one you can borrow :)

How do you get rid of those things... Or... Do you not want to get rid of those things
Best method-
Harlequin shrimp which stars are its' primary diet

Wow, enough stars to decorate a Xmas tree. !!!

I would definetly place a large fish net under them and slowly bring the net up the glass allowing them to fall into net and meet " MR TOILET !! "

Unfortunately harlequins are nearly impossible to find right now
Yep. That's why I mention net method, which is what worked for me. My drop off tank is now asterina star free. I netted them as I found them and pulled them out.

You really can reduce the numbers dramatically with manual removal in the morning before the lights come on. I did that and added a harlequin shrimp that decimated the rest. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the shrimp in a long time. It was my intention to remove the shrimp when the stars were gone, but I guess I didn't act fast enough. :( The weird thing is, I still don't see any asterinas in the display. I'll get one from time to time in the filter socks, but nothing yet in the tank. I have a flame hawk and melanaurus wrasse (may explain the disappearance of the shrimp), and I heard they may eat asterinas. Anyone else ever hear of that?

Cool! They are fascinating little stars, one of the few that use fissiparous reproduction. If they really are bugging you you might try a stainless steel straw with a 9/16" siphon hose. Pinching the hose with your hand you can control the amount of siphon and get pretty close to corals without damaging them.

Wow. Quite a few there. I have them in my tank but not nearly as many. Luckily for me the leave my zoas alone and haven't done any harm to anything else. *knock on wood*
