i don’t usually do a whole lot of testing but for some reason I’ve been having diatoms on the sand bed , and recently had a carpet nem go into the power head

Also the big rock is new, so maybe that is contributing?

Tank looks great, I would get alk up, nitrates down a bit and ensure there is a little phosphates. Ammonia should not be present.

The diatoms could be from the cycle or use of tap water?

New rock live? Waste on old live rock can cause a cycle.

The rock was just dry rock and only RODI water is used, i think I might be over feeding so I’m gonna cut back and see how that goes
