How about a place to put recalls

Just a thought.. How about a place for people to put up equipment recalls that they have heard or KNOW about. IE: The marineland stealth heater that just shocked the heck out of my tank. Didn't kill anything but everything was very unhappy! It could also save lives.. Livestock and hobbiest heaven forbid. And possibly peoples homes.. Just a thought....

You know how us firefighters are about saving peoples lives... We risk our own so that others my live...

I think it is a good ideal, proably would not be many post there, but it would be nice to have that info avilable in one place, I just learned last night about the stelth heater recal, from petco, and I had just bought one and it has been acting up, would be nice to have had that info where you could find it easily

+1 I have had a pump send stray voltage into my tank. unfortunately I was not so lucky to have everything survive. I got home from work to find everything gone and my circuit breaker blown.

It really is a good idea. Not only does it make us more aware of what is being recalled, but its alot safer for us. To me the safer the better. Water and electricity are never fun.

A recall forum or sub-forum would be a great idea!
It could keep newbies, and veterans alike, from buying a product that will only dissapoint them in the future.

Keep the replies coming!!!!!! I think we can force this issue!!!!! It will keep our babies safe as well as our selves.

Sparkledudes.... I only wish the could have recals on live stock.. Wouldn't that be GREAT!!!!!!!!

The great think about a forum dedicated to recalls is that it would eliminate numerous threads on the same thing, which is what normally happens. BTW - Foster&Smith Aquatics just notified me about the heaters. I called them today and they gave me a credit on two that I have purchased from them in the last year - actual cost. I ended up ordering Fluval E series, 300w. They waved shipping and sent them out today.
