How about this DOUBLE drop off reef!?

Dang that's amazing!

I would be interested in the dimensions of the tank. What is the depth? That is awesome!!!

Hi all, this is my small nano reef drop tank that i made.

I actually gave a previous R2R member a hard time about his drop off tank....only because in my "artistic" nature, it didn't seem like a natural type of design. I didn't like the hard edge of the tank and what it took to make a drop-off tank. But I'm changing my opinion about it. I think with the right amount of coral it does give a true since of a "cross-section" of a reef from shallow to deeper areas. With that being said, I would not advise an amateur to take on this type of design...as lighting for these various levels will take a TON of thought and planning for your corals. Overall I'm sure the fish will love the various depths and perhaps feel more natural to them. My only concern with livestock is the length/depth of the tank for larger livestock like Naso Tangs, Unicorn Tangs etc. I still fell a hard horizontal long tank is ideal for these wide open swimmers IMO. :-)
