What do you plan to put in the aquarium?

This light might work, but it's hard to say. It's not one of the more popular black boxes, so there's no way to gauge from other users how well this will work. Black box users have been pretty good about documenting PAR values, and black boxes are pretty widely used with good results. This is a bit of an unknown.

Personally, if you're looking to spend $500 and get a 72" light, I would just get two 32" SB Reef Lights units. These lights are a bit of a step up over the regular black boxes and lots of users have great experience with them. If coverage is a little light, you could easily add a 16" model as well for another $100 or so.

I decided to go with the AI 56’s as there was some on here for sale. Thanks for the help.

I'd go with fixtures that have history.....as mentioned, a Chinese Black Box or SB Reef Lights. With the 300DD being 6' x 3', with three "sections", I'd go for six 165W units....two per section. If you get the "basic" SB units, they are approximately $140 a pop....well within your budget.
