Currently setting up a 850 s. Originally had my skimmer in the center chamber but noticed the small tank on the right was getting next to zero flow thru it to speak of and was even 7f cooler in temp than the rest of the tank.. So, I put up the middle section forcing the water to be pulled on thru to the 2nd chamber and moved the skimmer over also. How are others running theirs? Thanks!

You could use the middle baffle and block the weir holes

Thats how I have mine, the split sump was used for a fuge, and the skimmer in the skimmer chamber, with the baffle in place, and the weir holes blocked so the water is forced through the split sump, to ensure better flow, and I also removed the socks and have a filter roller, and after the filter roller I have a reactor

This is the baffle I put it
