How are jelly bean chalices valued?

Is the jelly bean chalice valued by size or eyes? I read one post saying each eye was valued between 200 to 300?? Does anyone actually know?

It really depends on where you get it from is the only answer I have. Whether there from cornbred or that guy that sells his colonies for 20$ when they get to big those guys are my favorite.

There is no "right" answer in my opinion. Sellers(and buyers) may not price things the same way. The number of "eyes" would certainly be a factor, but not the only one. I would say a $600 2 eye quarter size piece that is a solid color is overpriced....however a single eye half dollar piece that is showing the multiple colors may go for more than $200 or $300.

Price per polyp on something like zoas is much more straightforward. Some of the chalices with multiple colors it is much less straightforward. Even if they may eventually get those other colors there is usually a premium if you can see it in the frag you are buying.

Ive got a mummy eye with really tiny mouths and another in my 120 with big mouths like in your pic. Great chalice by the way!

Thanks under blues looks really nice orange,red,blue,green,yellow i can't wait till it gets bigger its was really tiny when i got it and survived a accidental alk spike

I think there’s value to having eyes that split colors as well
