I'm a little concerned about this guy. He reacts and his mantle looks really good over most of him but up at the top it's like it's retracted:

Here's a closed up shot which I think shows new growth:

And then the maxima seems to look good to me, yes?

I tried to move him up but he kept bailing back down onto the sand and has actually connected some threads to the glass (you can barely see them in the picture).

It's possible there is a bit of retraction there but it's hard to tell since we haven't seen how it "normally" looks. Let it ride a bit and see how it does.

I see some new growth on the first one but the mantle on the maxima is concerning. Keep an eye on it and look up pinched mantle.

Will do. Is that because of the mantle on the left side not being in smoother semi-circles? Should I consider a freshwater dip? Or too early for that?

Looking at the pic, top right upper margin of the shell

I think that may be a shadow, I don't see it in the other pictures and I can't see anything on the clam. Had my head over the tank for the last 10 minutes trying to look at different angles.

I think it was a shadow to be honest, I could never find anything on the clam but I did take a toothbrush to that area just in case. It’s my invert QT tank so I have caught 2 aptasia in that tank on a couple of frags as they come in but I usually get them eliminated quickly. Now if I could get the bryopsis that came in eliminated that would be amazing.

I’m thinking of tearing the qt tank all the way down to get rid of the bryopsis once I get done with the 76 days for the inverts currently in there.

Updated clam pictures. Moved them into the DT, currently in an acclimation box until I can sit in front of the tank for a while and make sure the inhabitants leave them alone. The maxima had been attached to that shell for a long time but looks like it released from it over night.

Octo aquatics...cromag...hes a member on here as well.

Yup, I have a bunch of stuff from him, probe holder, heater holders, float switch holders, the acclimation box. Been very happy with them all. And he makes a few sizes of the acclimation box, I think mine is the medium one.

Thats funny my mother used to call me eagle eyes...lol.

Took them out of the acclimation box last night while I could watch for a while. So far they’re being ignored. Will hang out for a while when the lights come on today as well. Can definitely see new growth on the Deresa, less sure on the Maxima but now that they’re in the display the par should be higher than I could get in my QT
