How are you mounting your UV sterilizer?

I have the Pentair 80 W 6 inch PVC sterilizer just curious what you’re using to mount it. I was thinking about going with a vertical mount I can’t find anything to work with it.

My AquaUV is hung with a few 2” PVC hangers.

Yeah, my pipe is 6” and near 4’ long. Ended up hanging it horizontally under the tank over the sump.

For those who mounted it horizontally, did you have any trouble with the air getting stuck? I want to mount mine at the top of the stand, but that wouldn't leave much room for the air to escape. I would normally run it at very low speed, but I suppose i could try and purge the air when I made the changes to replace the lamp etc...

Mine is mounted horizontally and I have no issues, though I did use a level to ensure the water would flow back and forth easily. I have an Aqua UV 80 watt, which directs water down one pipe, then to the other pipe and back to the same end it started.

Mine is just laying in front of the sump horizontally and I try to have the outlet side a little higher. If it was vertical I'd say inlet on bottom of course

Yeah, I lay mine on the ground behind my stand. Luckily, I left enough space where it could squeeze in, it's so big.

I diagonally mounted mine to allow air to escape. Danner pondmaster.

I wonder if these would have worked as well, be difficult for maintainence though. Velcro seems like a great option for a vertical mount
