Well I been in the market for a new sump,as the one I had was a homemade 20g and it was starting to fall apart. So I started researching "Looks like I didnt research enough" But this is what happened.

I wanted to try a refugium sump,So looked at all the different brands, asked around, and picked through some and choose one based on what I thought I would need and what would fit under my stand. So all things considered I ended up with a Trigger Systems Triton 34.

I wanted the Trigger Systems Emerald 34,But after reading reviews and looking at the design,,looked like changing out the socks would have been a pain with the skimmer right in front of them,If not for that I would have got that one. So looking at the Triton,I assumed it had socks/filter pad on the left and just a different design and a larger refugium department to do the triton method "which I am not".

So seen a sale this past week and picked one up,I got it and off the bat I wasnt to impressed for the money I spent and as im putting it together realize there is no socks or really a way to add them. Not a whole lot I can do,so I installed the sump and fixed it up,went and got a starter bag of cheato and now its running. So I have a cantaloupe sized ball of cheato and a skimmer "also have a small carbon and gfo canister" is pretty much the only means of filtering my 75g tank at the moment.

I understand that I probably dont want socks/filtering pad if I intended to use the triton method,But really I have no intention of buying in to that. I know I have no one to blame but myself, but what do you think? Think I can use this sump as is,just cheato and skimmer "gfo and carbon if needed" and be fine? Or should I try to rig up some filtering socks/pad? Or something else all together?

Was looking into these sumps as well, but probably will go an alternative route, since these are not (or at least very limited) shipped to Europe.

Think you will be fine without the filtersock, I occasionally run one, but not continuously, since I tend to forget to change them.
In the triton sump you have got now, there is the option for media/filter floss before the return chamber. I would use this for polishing the water before it gets back into the DT. Saves you the hassle of changing sump again.

Or sell this sump to me (I do use Triton), if you can ship it to Europe... ;)

If you want to run mechanical filtration you can always buy hang on sock holders which can be secured to the side of the sump with thumb screws.

If you want, they do sell acrylic filter sock holders that hang on the side. I used one to add a second sock to my Trigger Systems sump. Without looking at your pictures, not sure if that is possible with the design of your sump.

Never used socks, dont see the benefit for space and nutrient reduction. Biofiltration is proven technology not mechanical

I don't have any filter sock holders on my sump either. I actually use a ratchet strap hanging from a floor joist to hang socks when needed. I think that you'll find your chaeto will capture most floating sediment.
