wondering if I should get plywood cut to fit the bottom? Or maybe the mat will compress enough to support the weight evenly?
please help, thank you guys

included in the pictures is the back corner of the tank witch to me seems fine. Please let me know.

one picture is marked to show how far back the lifted portion goes

I would personally cut something to wedge in there, I personally don’t think the mat is going to be enough. I would hate for you to get so far into the hobby and then your tank blow out because of a few extra steps.
Like a thin strip right under the problem area? Or something like a rectangle of styrofoam to fit the entire bottom of the tank?

Honestly what we used were those laminate floor sample tiles you can get from pretty much any local hardware store and that worked great for us

Is that on both sides? If so that tank is bowed on the bottom center or the stand has a bow on the top center. I wouldn’t shim the tank but the stand.

Sorry just reread and at 14gallons that shouldn’t be a issue. Even some yoga mat might work

There is this pink isulation foam for garage doors that is rather tough. i use it in my fish room to insulate the tanks in the winter as the fishroom is a poorly framed room in my garage. i dont know the exact name of it but it comes in large squares
