Hi y’all, I’m planning on running a couple eheim heaters connected to an inkbird controller in my new RedSea625, it seems like it’s best to let the controller control the temp since it’s more accurate and less prone to failure, and set the heaters for a couple degrees higher in case of failure, right?

Any suggestions or recommendations on this setup or something else?

Thanks!

Definitelly you have to set your heater control some degrees above your controller set point. You can set couple of degrees off and serve this as a fault safety or, just set heater to max and let controller do all work. I guess first option is better as double safety but, for this option to work right, you have to make sure heaters and controller are calibrated equally.

Right I have my controller set to

Right I have my controller set to 78 and the heaters set to 80 for example.
