I am new to zoas this year and have always thought palys are big and zoas are small. Now some of my zoa polyps are approaching nickel size. I never thought they would get so big. How big have you seen zoa polyps get?

be wary as the bigger ones are the ones we worry about for palytoxin

Grandis are truly in a class by themselves. They must have come from water outside a leaking nuclear plant. I have some bloodsuckers, utter chaos and rainbow infusions getting really big. What about these more typical types of zoas?

I've grown utter chaos the size of quarters and chaos dont carry palytoxin. Green implosions are pretty decent size and seen tests on those that indicated no paly toxin.

Zoas get big when they have very stable nutrients with typically average nitrate. Iodine helps.

Regular palys the size of a nickle. Zoas the size of a dime or a little under. Micro zoas are like the size of a pencil eraser or smaller.
I dont buy micros.

Bought some micros by accident from an R2R sale. They are the ones in my ID picture. You could fit 10 on a dime.
