How big do green hairy mushrooms get?

I recently got two green hairy mushrooms on a piece of live rock. At first I kept them in lighting that I quickly realized was too high, so now I have moved them to an area with lower flow and light. In their new spot, they have really opened, and when I do water changes (all flow is off) they grow to 4-5” in diameter! Will they get much larger? Also, if I decide to split them in half, will they grow back quicker than say, a smaller mushroom? (I really have no clue about this stuff, my apologies if this is a stupid post!)

Not a dumb post but 4-5” is about how big they will get in my experience. It depends on the system on how fast they will grow back but they usually do

I honestly don’t know but there’s research about how fragging corals make them grow back faster

I wouldn't bother. They'll split & multiply enough on their own & will become a nuisance

Hey, I have just one lil mush, how fast does it grows and reproduce? I would love to see them bigger. And how did u realize that the light was too high?
