Hello everyone! Been reading the forum a lot as I re-setup my tank. My tank was empty for 20 years (125g). 6 months ago I started up again. Its going to be a reef tank, I plan on starting to add corals this week.

Right now I have
5 green chromis
2 clowns
1 Regal blue
2 PJ cardinals
1 Firefish
1 Sand sifting goby
1 Royal Gramma
1 orange anthias

My clean up crew right now is
6 small hermits
1 emerald green crab
1 Cleaner shrimp
1 Peppermint shrimp
1 Sand sifting star
2 small snails

I plan on adding a few more fish, flame angel, yellow tang, powder blue tang (if I can find one small enough to hopefully get along with regal blue) maybe a butterfly fish or queen angel. few more orange anthias if my LFS gets more in. But I don't want to have too heavy of a bio load either.

Ok my question, how much more should I add to the clean up crew? I don't want them to starve, but don't want un needed waste.

Thank you kindly in advance!

Depends on the how dirty the rocks are. If they are really bad and the tang isnt getting it all add a few turbos, trochus and margaritas and see what they clean. 3-4 of each to start. Then add more if you keep getting a lot of nuisance algae. I really like Turbos but they can be bull dozers.

Stop falling for the CUC narrative! Go get yourself a turkey baster and make yourself a power filter.

A couple Turbos, a handful of Nassarius, Trochus and Astrea should be fine after six months.
Welcome back!
