Due to a semi emergency clear out at my lfs here in England I just scored this for £15, sold as seen!
Boxed and with manual and a probe or two.

I have been looking at controllers for months and it all confuses me so GHL was always position two due to me being less software savvy.
If I can get it working, I have friends, how frightened should I be? ;)

I would be very afraid of slipping and that toe you are dipping into the water becoming your whole person!

The downside is the P2 doesn't work with the apps and whatnot. Hopefully @Vinny@GHLUSA will correct me.

Here is the manual section for how to program it and the latest firmware: https://www.aquariumcomputer.com/downloads/

Thank you, I am much better at using buttons, I used to run a computer controlled pharmaceutical plant, I guess I will learn if it works! ;)

As @vangvace mentioned, the P2 does not support online access, app control, nor cloud access. The hardware capabilities are too old to support those current features.

This version controller is accessible through the ProfiLuxControl software which is downloadable through our website. You will also need the original RS232 cable that came with the controller.

Thanks, I am picking it up later, it appears to come with all cables.

Great Score my friend :D
That controller will do most of what you need and for the price, that's an exceptional find.
One word of caution. The pH probe that came in the box will be expired. So pick up a new pH probe and some calibration fluid.

The only probe it came with was temp, I have the link cable and will pick up a power supply tomorrow, it might still be dead! ;)

Excuse the delay, bought the power supply today, it appears to be alive!

Thanks GHL, I have to pay to unzip the software you recommended?!

I have a much newer laptop so need to see if I can find a cable link adapter! ;)
