i currently have a 40 breeder all levels are great and in range tank looks amazing. the only problem i have is controlling po4 i use gfo to remove it but it strips it completely my hannah reads 0.00. i have tried taking it out but then it came up to .13 in a week. i put it back on and it is stripped. so now i have used a timer and i am trying to run it just a few hours a day to try to keep it from absorbing it all. any one have any other suggestions. i also have chaeto and mangroves in my fuge.

I agree with ritter. I use about 2-3 tablespoons in my 40 and run **** near 0.00 PO4.

I stopped using it in a reactor cause I couldn't get it dialed in. But used in a bag it leaves the phosphates still detectable. This is passive use by the way.

i wasnt sure if a smaller amount would dissolve the po4 at a slower rate or just simply exhaust quicker. brs needs to change their recommendations on the packaging,

Most also have to much flow going through gfo. It only needs to be fluidized to prevent clumping and doesn't need to tumble at all. Slowly turn up your flow to reactor just till it seems to expand about half its size its now fluidized and you should have low flow comming out reactor
