How can I improve my scape? I’ve been moving it around ALOT and can’t find a configuration I like. I have a pulsing xenia, gsp , montipora digitata and a hammer, fish are 2 clowns and a bristletooth tang.

Aquascaping is a combination of personal taste and coral needs IMO. Knowing what corals you plan to keep should be considered as you create your scape.
Personally, I’d try adding some height to your scape. You’ve got a lot of room in there, so maybe use some dry rock and add live over it?

PS: I’d ditch the Xenia. I learned the hard way that they spread like crazy.

Personally I’m a minimalist. Try to envision long term how things are going to grow in. How much room will be left for swimming versus needed real estate for corals.

consider less rock and no higher than halfway up. It will look bare at first but as things grow in you’ll be pleased.

also consider negative space. Open areas of sand give a sense of depth. Use the golden ratio to create a focal point.

more height in the back less toward the front also lends to a sense of depth and space.

look around at other scapes and search the main aqua scape thread. Lots of good ideas there.
Have fun!

I like the rock work.. But on the left side of the tank is that Aiptasia?.... Like the biggest One's I have ever Seen. Come on all you experts Is it not Aiptasia?

unfortunately it’s aptasia. They’re huge and will literally devour a frozen cube of mysis if it gets to it. I got that rock from a friend and mad a huge mistake putting it in the display. They’re impossible to get rid of. Aiptasia x only made it worse.

How about adding another aptasia eating tang. I’m kidding

Yeah I am kinda new myself.. I really am not sure I am trying to get someone who knows more then I do to help out. I have just heard really bad thins about Aiptasia and how it can take over a tank.. Not trying to be scary. I just am trying to help. But I still have a lot to learn myself.

I would absolutely, 100000% get rid of that aptasia rock. Those things are like something from the Little Pet Shop of Horrors! If you isolate the gsp rock you should be fine (make it it’s own island, maybe attach it to the back wall?) but I don’t know what I would do about the Xenia. Keep it in its own corner?

I would add some rock pieces to raise it to mid tank. Live rock if can be had. Allows for more caves for fish to hide.

Aptasia, kalk paste them. Kalk paste enough that it coats all of it with all pumps off. Let it encrust before turning on pumps. 15-20 mins. Always works for me.

Did you see the Aiptasia rock that is what I need the help with The rock on the left :)

Has learned a valuable lesson... Keep Pie Hole attached to fingers off keyboard.. I am just a freakin noob what do I know

It sounds like you have two issues - the aquascaping and the Aiptasia. As @Flippers4pups suggested, I would encourage the OP to look for ways to add some height to the scaping. As far as the Aiptasia, there are a number of approaches including natural, DIY, and commercial options work to varying levels of success and may have residual effects. Personally, I recommend F-Aiptasia Killer from @Frank's Tanks. There are several threads on R2R with customer feedback. It is important to stir the product and coat the entire Aiptasia. Good luck!
