So, I want to change the corals on this rock. I dont want to get rid of them completely, I just wanna make enough room to put my goniopora and alveoproa on. I will most likely sell them to my LFS.

You can try f-aptasia and wait for it to harden and leave it on for a week or so. I've killed some palys that way.

That won't allow OP to sell them though, cuz they'd die.

Carefully use a razor blade and scrape them off, then glue them to another rock/frag plug.

Do some research on the safety stuff you should use when messing around with zoas - gloves, goggles, mask, airflow etc

Thats a good size colony… I would just sell or move the whole rock so you dont damage them

Yes as above say just move them to a different place they are a good size . You could frag some you would get plenty but imo I would just move there looking good

You could break the rock at the spot where the 2 meet and sell or trade the ones you dont want. Maybe lfs will give you store credit? Would give you some room.

What worked best for me is to use a small tweezer and carefully rip the zoa mat from the rock. This way, you can save 99% of them. Use a razor blade to get a couple polyps on the edge to come off the rock, that should give you enough leverage to pull the mat off. You have to be patient and do it in a well ventilated space. Make sure you wear gloves and eye protection.
