ok you guys know how frozen fish food come in massive cubes? i tried using one cube for the whole day but it turns into black muck when its out for so long.. so i've been wasting so much food!! how can i save fish food? i know this is a weird question but i've already used 4 cubes!! i let it defrost in and cup and suck up a little bit with a syringe and shoot it into the tank, which works fine, but i'm just wasting so much food because after i shoot it into the tank, i throw the rest away... AHHHH!!! what could i do?

also could i just refreeze what i don't use? or maybe cutting it would be better??

I cut the cube before thaw, I use a kitchen knife. If it's going to be washed I don't see an issue. It's just seafood. I use kitchen utensils on my dog and cat food as well, so I'm not took fussed about it.
Buy a special knife if it's an issue. Most cut easily, since they usually are not frozen solid like an ice cube.

Well I travel quite a bit and use a blend of frozen foods. I thaw (barely) the blend together for 4 days worth of food and am trying out the new reefsicle which makes 4 "icesicles" that slowly melt and release though out the day. I'll keep you posted on how well this works.

cutting cubes works, but it;s annoying and tedious to me. I buy Rods, LRS, or PE mysis flat packs and cut the cubes to the size that I need. Toss all that in a freezer bag and you're good to go for a while.

OR put your cube in a small cup of RODI water. Feed a little and keep it in the fridge. It should be ok in there for a day or 2.

Good Luck and Happy Reefing!
