Hey everybody,
In all of the tanks that I have seen, some zoanthids have different sized polyps. It's not that different color morphs have different sizes, but like, say, sunny ds are one size in one tank and another size in a different tank.
Does it have to do with lighting? What lighting makes polyps larger? Or does it have to do with feeding?

It's mostly lighting and the variety of zoas. Some zoas are going to have small polyps no matter what lighting they are in. Others will grow to have a higher surface area for light intake.

My sunny D's seem to crave light so even though they are on the same plane as some of my acros, they still have big polyps and relatively long stalks whereas my Joker zoas are at the bottom of the tank and have really small polyps with really short stalks, its just sort of an adjustment thing in most tanks and moving zoas around may change the way they look or how big their polyps are.
