How clean is your back glass, REALY???

I don't clean mine at all. I love the way it looks being black and having stuff growing on it. It looks more natural.

I do not clean my back glass .IT is full of coraline algae and other form of marine life which is beneficial for my tank

For me cleaning it along with regular glass cleaning is a must. A clean back adds more depth to the tank. It’s more attractive to look at.
The chalky coralline look is not natural for me.
My tank is 7 years old and The overflows are covered in coralline. Not nice to look at for me.

I clean mine when I change my socks, so every 4-6 days. Just a bit of algae comes off. I have a external overflow so nothing to get coated with coraline either.

I clean all 4 panels at the same time. I purposely keep my tanks about 36 inches off the wall for air flow, cleaning, and so I can get back there if need be. The area around the gyre, return nozzles, and light mount do get a little less cleaning, but they're not as much in direct light so there's really no algae buildup.

I learned my lesson with my 72 bow tank to never put it against the wall again. After I moved that tank, there was so much crud (salt creep, dead ghost shrimp, and a shriveled fish) behind the tank that I couldn't see. So now I make sure I have access to behind the tank, plus it lets air flow through better if it's not walled off, IME.

Ha clean the back glass, I have trouble cleaning the front glass.

I've never cleaned it but somehow it doesn't look too bad. I have a long handled razor blade scraper for when it does need it.

My visible back of my tank is made of plastic since it’s supposedly a AIO tank
I let it grow out coralline algae all over.

Its part of my weekly maintenance, both siphon the substrate to keep it white and clean the back glass. I keep everything far enough away from the back glass for better flow, more room for fish to swim and so it can be cleaned easily with kent scrapers.

Not only do I prefer the cleaner look ( pictures turn out nicer as well ) but also the tank seems brighter afterwards as well. Its worth the extra 5 minutes.

A nice clean back black glass is something to comment about, in some clubs this is considered a very good looking tank, in my opinion I had mine RedSea Max S650 with the back dirty a full of coralline but after a while I cleaned and now is looking way better , it give the look of a deep rock formation in The sea is like the rocks are 3D on front of the pitch black cave. I love the back glass clean
