You can use. These are two different approaches. AF uses Life biofil as bacteria sources and its zeolite lowers down the nutrients specially NO3 through ammonia absorption. AF uses the same technique in converting NO3 and Po4 into biomass which corals can use but their zeolite dont necessarily house bacteria so you dont shake the zeolite.

Bacteria never grows in water column. In case of AF it grows on your rock or alot of people like me add siporax for bacteria to grow on.
If you follow AF then use their zeolite and add some siporax in addition to rocks or if you use zeovit then use their zeolite stones.

Yes you can use that too unless they break down in your sump or leach aluminium...
