Curious why people sell (and buy) them for ~ $200 ? I bought my first AI SOL used from Manhattan Aquariums for $ 150 then upgraded them to HYDRA 52s.

Curious why they sell for $ 200 - especially considering they're like first generation AIs..?

I bought 7 for 1100. I thought that was a pretty good deal. They're older lights but they sure can grow some SPS. This is off topic but if you don't mind me asking how did you upgrade them to 52s? And how much did it cost

because they are GREAT lighting... Still one of the best out there I got the best color ever from my AI's I currently run Kessil360's and the 700 series on a couple tanks but I have never felt like they were as good as the SOL. Im getting ready to build a rack to install at least 1 of my SOL's over my 34g

I did consider the upgrade as well but i got a great deal on my 700's no going back now. I just gotta get the new lights dialed in

You can buy upgrades from ai's website.
