How deep in water should my skimmer be?

I got an used Macro Aqua AWN-40 recently but there are no markings for recommend water height. What would be a good starting point for this? Also, does anyone have this skimmer and could maybe get me a copy of the manual? Tried contacting the company but no response.

Look up the manufacturer online an see what they recommend. They should have an owner's manual or something on their support site with this exact information.

Did you try contacting Ming Trading LLC....it appears they are the US distributor.
