How did the Speckled Krackatoa get its name..

lol.......yep. That would be me. About 8 years ago i got hooked on zoas when i fragged up the first and only ones i had ever bought. Frag tanks kept getting bigger over the years to accommodate the addiction. About 2 years ago i came up with a brilliant plan i thought, lol.......basically give my best friend the 12 gallon nano already stalked and let future Zoa addict come out on its own

Our main frag tank is 6 feet. I would like to say i helped build the stand, and i guess i did.....but Adam was the main wood worker and design guy on that. I think i put the screws in on one of the columns

That's a awesome frag setup there. So do you guys still have the speckled krakatoas in grow out then. I refuse to deal with Rich (cornbred) he already stole almost 400 from us for corals he never shipped. Agreed to hold shipping while I was in hospital with issues from my cancer n then stopped responding to my emails and kept the cash for his next Photoshop program I'd guess lol. Always been happy with Rudy and his corals.

Haha.....it kind of is. I have some long forgotten polyps hiding in there. And yes we have sevreal growout if them. The original group I was able to make 7... 1 polyp frags. 5 of those have new homes, the others were too tight to be able to frag without casualty. So they are split between 3 disks........so there will definitely be a tricked of babies I am hopeing over the year.

The 6 foot frag tank is plumbed into a 240gallon cube display. That is in the process of being swapped out for a starfire cube 
then a new 5 foot frag tank will come to rest on the left side of the display. I mean, come on.......do you see a lot of room for new polyps? Must grow or die......addiction too strong. And PLEASE let's all say thankyou to my lovely wife for putting up with a Ton of coral/fish people and the time I put in on this addiction

The OG Krakatoas and Master Krakatoas were notorius for melting. These polyps seem to be MUCH hardier, have not lost a single polyp from fragging or any other conditions. The other people I have sold them to all messaged within a week to say they had a baby on theirs now. When i first fragged the ones i was able to without cutting any of the Zoa matt, I took my favorite one and put it on a medium sized growout disk. It has 2 babies on it now, so i am going to say that they are pretty good growers from what i has personaly seen. Thanks for the frag tank complement No one would believe how much time and effort we put into it unless you saw it/know us. The stand even has a compartment for a hidden liquor cabinet in it, lol. Got to have refreshment if your sitting down for a good fragging session right?
