How do I control bubble algae without killing my acros?

The only thing I’ve heard that actually kills it off is Vibrant. However, when I tried Vibrant it ticked off the SPS when I arrived at the dose that was actually starting to make progress. I think I was dosing every other day in the end and it was just too much. The tank was running too clean. It was stripping the water.

I started slowly dosing once a week. Then every 3 days. Finally EOD. Then I just stopped because my nutrients were taking a hard dive.

This bubble algae was tons of tiny bubbles, it wasn't possible to remove it all by hand or with a rigid siphon tube. Doesn't matter anyway, I took the tank down and transferred only live coral tissue to the new tank. Anything that could harbor bubble algae was cut away with my frag saw and anything that couldn't be cut off was covered with glue.

They are the devil for sure. Since vibrant seems to effect nutrient levels, I’ve dozed a hair of no3 and po4 and watched both carefully while dosing vibrant. I dosed the max amount or more but the bubbles did start to release and find their way into filter socks, pumps etc. it took 3-4 months to fully eradicate them. Now after over a year I see a few small bubble patches reappearing.
