How do I create a hospital tank?

What am I using for starting water ? 60% main tank water rest new salt water 60% main tank and rest RO water or all new salt water ??

I use all fresh salt and seed the new tank with a bag of bio balls I keep in my sump just for this reason. A lot of people dislike them but they are good for things like this.

Are you taking fish out of your display or QT'ing new fish? My use is for setting up a quick QT tank.
