How do I even go about removing this???

Hey everybody! I have this HUGE bristle worm in my tank, at least a full foot long. I have no idea how I would even remove it. I have tried traps but it never goes in it. Can I catch it with a net?

I have tried most of the bristle worm traps, and it’s only 1 that I have seen. Like I said in my post it doesn’t ever go into my traps.

I agree lol, I knew it was there, but I thought it was around a quarter the size. Thankfully all my coral are on my rocks, and I have no fish that vibe at the bottom

They aren’t strong. Outside of water they are limp. It looks scary and intimdating but it’s an underwater worm. As soon as it’s outside of water the gravity takes over. They go limp

Ah ok! Good to know thanks everybody I just don’t want it splitting since it’s absolutely massive at least a foot long, takes up abt 1/3 of my tank when fully extended

Definitely throw it in a 5 gallon species tank...

They can sting you....but not always. Gloves a good idea.

No, but it normally comes out abt midnight every night, I just have to bait it a bit better for it to fully extend like it did tonight. I had no idea it was this large

Throw it in a bucket with water he will last days until you can get a small aquarium
