How do I feed different fish species?

I have fish that eat different types of food, algae flakes, algae pellets, marine flakes, frozen mysis shrimp etc.. Will they pick what they want and go for it if I feed them all at once?

Yea, they will get what they want most of the time. I feed a homemade recipe and my royal gramma spits out the nori in it and just gets the meaty bits.
