How do I fix hairline algae?

How do u get rid of all this hairline algae is there a fish or something that I can put in the tank ti get rid of it I am waiting on a new to skimmer to come in on Thursday but the nitrate is reading 5 ppm. After the skimmer comes in I am putting a Tomini tang.

Toothbrush and suck it out.
Astrea snail, just 1-2, keep placing them on the affected areas.
Keep all parameters solid and unchanging.

how old is the tank? 1 month? I would just let the tank do its thing. A Tomini tang would not be happy in a tank that small. There are some small er fish that can help with algae. You could add snails.

Siphon it out if it bothers you. There will be a lot more growing soon.

A tang would remove that in minutes, so be sure to keep some nori on a clip.
