How do I get purple coraline?

I would like to know (if not mentioned) what type of salt are you using. That can also attribute to the production of coraline algae in your system... I have used salts from Oceanic to AquaVitro to now ReefCrystals.

IMHO Oceanic had some great results but way too high in calcium, AquaVitro was just ok the parameters on that salt was all over the place, ReefCrystals has some really stable parameters.

In my 9 years in the hobby I must say ReefCrystals happens to be my best choice for "reef salt" and for getting the best needed chemical make-up for Coraline Algae growth.

I may be wrong on this but i was told maintaining a higher level of calcium would significantly help the growth of the coraline?

I have a new tank about 4 months old that is quickly growing purple coraline.

Specs.
20 gal tank
Kessil 360WE w/ max intensity at 65%
weekly 2.5 gal water changes
Instant Ocean Salt
Alk 7.7-8
Ca 430-450
Mg untested.

I do a 40 to 50% water change monthly. My Calcium is at 440. My alkalinity at 7-8.
