How do I get rid of dinoflagellates?

I have a bunch of dinoflagellates in my tank that is growing all over my corals, rocks, and glass. I really need help to get rid of it. Does any have know how I could get rid of them?

What are your tank parameters? Nitrate and phos?

I’m not sure which is worse: You finding a bad Dino outbreak in your tank or your wife finding pictures from your girlfriend.

My nitrates are about 2 to 3 ppm

It depends on type of dinos. A microscope will help with that part. One type is possibly easily fixed with UV. The other is very very difficult to beat.

Fixing dinos is a deep and dark rabbit hole. The first step is ID. Look up Ostreopsis vs Amphidinium.

Nice. This was the case of Amphidinium that you mentioned? At what dosage/frequency did you use the PNS ProBio?

I just used one bottle. I used their yellow and red.

I feel like I wasnt able to beat amph until I took multiple steps. Pro bio, sand removal plus ocean direct, manual removal, temp to 82-84.

I also dosed phyto and added pods. I threw the kitchen sink at it, if that didnt work I was going to shut down the tank. I battled about 4-5 months.
