How do I get rid of Ick?

Hello. I have a 75g tank. I purchased the tank used and it came with several fish. I’m new to the hobby and added a few fish (the previous owner did the same thing). My tank was going good until I had a bad encounter with ick. I lost all of my fish except for a yellow goby. I have been treating with copper. I already have a quarantine tank on the way. Just winding what the steps are to make my tank safe to add new fish. Thank you.

What copper product did you use and how long did you treat for?
Did you treat the 75 gallon tank itself?
Are you planning to keep invertebrates in the 75 at a later date?
