how do i get rid of these sponges

they’ve gotten out of hand is there any cuc i can put in my sump to clean them up or any method i can use to get rid of them?

From what I understand about sponges is they die when exposed to air. Could drain sump and let dry overnight.

During a water change clean sides of sump & siphon them out.
Refill sump & done. Sponges are good filter feeders though.

A scraper on the glass should rid you of 80%> vinegar bath for the pump during cleaning, rinse well and let dry.

yea they’re too good of filter feeders, my nitrates keep reading 0 lol i think that’s my problem and why i want to get rid of them, i tried siphoning them but only got a tiny amount during my scheduled 8 gallon wc. might have to use a shop vac
