Hello friends. What kind of algae is this and how do I get rid of it?

My Phosphate and Nitrates are zero. I use Phosguard and Purigen + Skimming and chaeto.

Also. I use Rodi water with PPM 0

Clean up crew? How much of it do you have? Nutrient readings can be a bit misleading as the algae etc... May take it up before registering. Do you have a tang or lawnmower blenny? Looks like generic hair algae, but I'm not an expert in identification.

I have half a dozen hermits and about 10 Nassarius snails. They clean it up and it grows back fast.

What are you testing with? Nitrates are usually high when green hair algae is present. As @Ocelaris stated when the algae is present the test numbers will be off due to the algae consuming nutrients for food.

I have been running media in my sump, the media keep my nitrates manageable.

I have been running Aquaforest life bio fil and Zeomix. Another option is siprox and zeovit both these media work really well.

I recommend more animals that eat algae. Like urchins or surgeonfishes. If you want to starve the algae you most likely will starve the corals as well.
