Hard to tell from lighting but looks like typical film algae. Certain snails will eat it but to be honest, it’ll never go away. It’s just something we live with. No algae = no corals.
Maybe. Hard to see. It looks like you could manually remove it though. You can pull out the rock. Vibrant has helped me keep GHA under control.look at the back rock that was the live piece I used to seed the tank, it looks like gha to you?

It’s always good to have a clean up crew. But I have to be honest, snails won’t clean up all the algae. They just eat some of it. I doubt they’ll touch GHA.this is a new tank setup 12/28/19, can I also try reef flux? I was thinking this is a new tank syndrome? Maybe add some trochus or turbos?

I’ve never used reef flux. For vibrant, if you want to use, follow the instructions. I use less than the recommended dose once a week. It takes a few weeks to notice a difference. So don’t add more thinking it’s not working. But in a new tank, I wouldn’t risk it. New tanks go through the uglies phase and usually everything in there will be replaced by something else that outcompetes it.i have both reef flux and vibrant how much you suggest I dose if I do decide to use one? You don’t think this is a ugly stage of a new tank?
Test your PO4 first. Since you have corals in there, you don’t want your PO4 to bottom out. Do you have any pics with lights on? Honestly, don’t freak out over a little algae and nuke your tank. In saltwater tanks, it’s a part of the game. Many people have refugiums growing macro algae so that they can outcompete the unwanted algae. There are also algae scrubbers and other things you could do.maybe GFO in a mesh bag?

How old is your tank?
