How do I keep salinity stable?

+1 on auto top off, otherwise add fresh water every day. If you are running a nano tank you may need to add it a few times per day, a smaller water volume will have a sharp rise in salinity as the water evaporates. Some info on your tank may help you get better answers

As said above ato and temp. That being said I used to add water everyday got to where my tank was a chore more then a enjoyment and I was slowing losing interest in it. Seeing is as another job in my home on top of everything else. Fast forward bought a ato have a 4 gallon top of jug I fill once every week and half. It hands down was the best investment besides lights to my tank.

@PegasisR Let us know how that one works. They use a float sensor for their ATO I believe?
I don't own a Red Sea Reefer tank, but I do know I have owned my SmartATO Micro from AutoAqua for roughly 3 years now and they use an optical sensor. Haven't had any problems with it since.

I just hooked up the ato that comes with the RSR :), will see how it does

I have a reefer 170 and I use the ATO that came with it. One mod that I made that has improved the ATO function greatly is that I made the hole in the float valve bigger. I don't remember the exact size I drilled it to, but it was at least 2 drill bits larger than the existing hole. Prior to me drilling out the hole, the float valve would clog with salt build up. Now, the float valve works great. You will have to take the valve apart some time to clean it, so you might as well get familiar with it now. :)

I have a RSR 425xl and it stinks (not the tank, the float switch). Almost burned out my pump twice. It’s not just the float switch. The little outlet on the glass reservoir gets clogged easy. I stuck a toothpick in mine once a week. I’ve finally given up. Bought a ATO and 5 gallon container
