Hello fellow reefers, quick question how do I lower Mg in my tank?

I did a 20% water change last week no luck I turned off my dosing pump about 3 weeks ago still no luck. I also noticed my PH drop a few days ago it's usually at 8.0-8.1 I have reef buffer and brightwell aquatics PH+ what do you recommend of the two.

Any advice/help is greatly appreciated.

Ca: 485
Mg: 1800
KH: 10.64
PH: 7.83

Most likely that number is testing error. Red Sea kit? Folks have problems with high values from it.

Unless you massively overdosed magnesium (truly massive), or have a bad batch of salt (unlikely, but what brand), it isn't that high.

DO NOT ADD ANY BUFFERS based on pH.

Measure the alkalinity and only add buffers if you need an alkalinity boost.
