How do I lower the temp in my tank

When we started this tank we had an temp issue but then we put an army man to lift the tank lid up and haven’t had a problem until now it spiked up about 2 degrees higher than normal would just like to bring it down how do I do it the temp is currently 79 would like it to get down to 77

i prefer 79 over 77. I run my tank to 82.

Really that seems on the high end

You can aim a power head towards the top to cause turbulence and thus lower the temp thru evaporation. You can also place a fan on the top and blow air across the top to also cause evaporation.

As stated above, I also keep my tank temp between 78 and 79 degrees, 78 in the winter and 79 in the summer.
