I’m adding nitrifying bacteria so it will be cycled in a month. But I need to get fish and corals there otherwise why else would I go?
But you still have disease (ich?) in your tank, plus your Tank seems to be fully stocked already.
And to answer your question about why go if not to buy fish or corals... My daughter (16 years old) and I have been in the hobby for 3 years. We have been to 2 MACNAs (one our reef club hosted) and our first RAP in Orlando this year. We have brought home 11 corals, all from RAP and spent about $100 on them (mostly mushrooms).
We go to:
*talk with the vendors
*hear the speakers...in an one hour lecture you can gain decades of knowledge. Take notes and treat them like a class. Even if a lecture does not pertain to your tank now, someday it may.
*get our hands on the products and see them for ourselves
*talk with vendors about their corals and learn more about them
*Free samples are always fun

*Make friends...you will see the same people year after year and the shows start to feel like a family reunion
*ooh and ahhh over fish that we may never own, but still appreciate their beauty and gain some knowledge about these beautiful creatures.
*pick up a product that may be hard to find locally and save on shipping
*and sometimes we end up winning in the raffles from individual vendors (my daughter won a $200 Joe Knows Corals gift card).
