Recently I had to go fallow for 76 days (velvet), and I had previously dosed CP to the display.

This for the most part killed all the cool stuff on my live rock. Now that the fish are back in I am missing all the sponges and feathers that were on the old rock.

I bought 20 pounds of live rock from a local club member. The rock is very live and has sponges and feathers over. The sponges are red photosynthetic.

Right now I have the rock in a bucket with a heater and air stone. I want to QT this somehow without killing everything on the rock. I'm adding phytoplankton to the water but will all the sponges die? How long do I need to QT it? The tank it came from looked healthy.

But won't all the stuff on the rock die?

If you're worried about photsynthetic creatures you could add a light. Otherwise sponges and feather dusters should live and minimal feeding may help. 76 days of quarantine should put you in the clear for fish diseases.
Agreed.

In short, no not much or very little.

Oh and you'll need to test the display for CP and remove any that may be left.

Yea. Sorry. It's an expensive test. Copper on my mind.
