You can just run the T5s more hours without any issue. You can also lower then closer to the tank. Raising PAR with T5s is not an issue, so you can just do it.
For the LED, you just gotta go really slow and observe for issues.
I would lower the lights, run the T5s longer and do whatever else you want to do with the T5s. Wait a few weeks to establish a baseline. Then, move the LEDs.
A single Hydra 26 is not much of a powerhouse over a 2' area, so there will be a limit to where you can get without lowering your T5s.
