A small firefish was in my sump and got sucked into the return pump. How do I safely remove the RS Max S Main 7000 return pump and clean it?

A small firefish was in my sump and got sucked into the return pump. How do I safely remove the RS Max S Main 7000 return pump and clean it?

Most redsea max tanks come with the pump that has a barbed fitting. Twist and pull the tubing off the barb fitting of the pump. It may be really hard to do. Sometimes i have to make a small slit in the end of the tubing to even get it off the barbed fitting.
